Media Literacy:
In a digital world filled with misinformation or popularly known as "fake news," it is more important than ever to have media literacy.

What is Media Literacy:
Media Literacy is the ability to critically read, evaluate, and understand the meaning of the media in its different forms.

How to Become Media Literate:
Becoming media literate takes practice and the right mindset.
Its all about the right questions:
Here are some examples media-literate readers ask when reading:
1.) Who wrote this? Knowing who the author is, whether its a large corporation or individual person is critical. An article written by a tobacco company on the dangers of smoking and that of doctors will vary significantly.
2.) why? What is the purpose? Does it aim to persuade or inform?
3.) Who is the target audience? Whom is the author trying to reach? is it smokers, college students, or retired workers?
4.) What are the facts? Is the source credible? does it have statistics or known facts and testimony from credible sources and experts?
